Abstract:Sino-German relations has become an important support for the development of China-EU relations，but what should not be overlooked is that the German political elites regard Chinamore as a counterparty for business instead of a strategic partner from the bottom of their heart. How to go beyond the simple buyer-seller relationship？This has become the key to the development of Sino-German relations. A prosperous and confident Europe fits China’s interest，while EU’s prosperity and confidence cannot be separated with its core engine and the factual leader —Germany. Being China’s “key partner” in the EU，Germany’s role is irreplaceable and inevitable. As for China，to make Sino-German relations grow from trading partners towards global partners，with capital ties to “lock” the strategic direction of the Sino-German relations，is a long-term scheme focused on stabilization and consolidation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the EU.
