Abstract:The year of 2021 marked the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence. Under the leadership of President Rahmon，various reforms in Tajikistan were progressing smoothly，social development was stable，and the celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence was successfully held. As the epidemic subsided and epidemic prevention measures were relaxed，the economy showed a recovery trend，foreign trade gradually resumed，and agricultural production reached a new high. “Online diplomacy” has been replaced，and traditional diplomatic methods such as heads of state visits and on-site meetings have returned. This year，Tajikistan assumed the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the collective security treaty organization. Home diplomacy has made Tajikistan achieve a series of important results. However，the sudden change of the situation in Afghanistan and the border conflict with Kyrgyzstan have become the main threats to Tajikistan’s national security. Tajikistan continued to promote comprehensive cooperation with China，and the high-level of two countries maintained close interaction. China and Tajikistan have made outstanding achievements in economy and trade，epidemic combatting and many other fields. Several projects under the frame of the “Belt and Road” were built and landed，and the strategic partnership between the two countries was further consolidated.
