2021年俄罗斯中亚政策的特点评析

Abstract:As we all know，the influence of other major powers in Central Asia is difficult to compare with that of Russia In fact，Russia also believes that it enjoys “special interests” in Central Asia. At a time when the competition among big countries is becoming more and more intense，Russia will undoubtedly pay more attention to Central Asia. By reviewing the policy measures taken by Russia in Central Asia in 2021，we may try to summarize the main characteristics of Russia’s Central Asia policy in 2021. However，it should be noted that the most important feature of current international affairs is uncertainty，which means that our summary is only preliminary. With the serious riots in Kazakhstan in early 2022，Russia and the collective security treaty organization led by it quickly intervened by forming a peace-keeping force，which will not only bring changes to Russia’s Central Asia policy，but also greatly affect the development momentum of the situation in Central Asia. It deserves close attention and follow-up research.
