Abstract:In 2020,Russia has made major adjustments to its domestic and foreign policies, with the aim of getting out of crisis as soon as possible, and seeking new development opportunities amidst international changes. By amending the constitution,President Putin has began to make overall arrangement for the future presidential elections and power system adjustments in advance, which wins the initiative and maintains the stability of the social and political situation. However, the severe epidemic and the surrounding political and security crises have also posed huge challenges to Russia’s development and stability. The social problems such as economic decline, unemployment and poverty become more serious, and the country’s long-term development goals have to be adjusted. The new goal is obviously more in line with the post-epidemic situation and it also pays attention to the coordination of the economic and social development. The future economic and social situation may face many practical difficulties. For instance, its relationship with the United States and Europe has not been improved, and the external geopolitical pressure has been worsened. The turmoil and conflicts in the surrounding areas have consumed a lot of Russia’s diplomatic resources, which has made the international situation further deteriorated. Under difficult conditions,China-Russia relations continue to maintain a good momentum. The leaders of the two countries have made active interactions, and the economic and trade cooperation has remained stable. The two countries have echoed each other on the international stage, reflecting the high level of comprehensive strategic cooperation in the new era.
