Abstract:Against the background of the increased importance of transnationalism，transnational Chinese who maintain continuous and frequent multiple relationships between destination and origin country have become increasingly representative of overseas Chinese，especially of new Chinese immigrants in Europe since the late 1970s. The new generation of highly skilled immigrants from China is gradually changing the communities of overseas Chinese that have been dominated by traditional low-skilled immigrants before the 1980s. Meanwhile，the differentiated development and trends of the social integration and identification of overseas Chinese in European countries related to the national conditions，immigration policies，and social atmospheres are having an increasingly important impact on the image，identity and social participation of overseas Chinese in Europe and shaping the future of their communities.
