中英能源关系的新发展

Abstract:During the last year，several major changes were seen in Sino-British energy relations. Firstly，in the 10th Sino-British Economic and Financial Dialogue，both sides reiterated their willingness to maintain cooperation in energy and the “Clean Energy Partnership”. Secondly，Sino-British relations were affected by the US，especially by the addition of CGN into the “entity list”. Thirdly，the Chinese nuclear companies were carrying out their plans，including participating in the Hinkley Point C project，negotiating with Electricite de France （EDF） about the Sizewell project and submitting Hualong One to Generic Design Assessment. Fourthly，thanks to Centrica’s sale of its stake，Chinese nuclear companies obtained more opportunities to expand themselves into the UK. In addition，cooperation in wind power has been remained during the last year，with no significant progress made. Looking into the future，the cooperation in energy between the two countries will be probably maintained，but increasingly influenced by the changing approach to China of the US and the skeptical attitude towards Chinese nuclear companies of the UK.
