Abstract:Since Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the UK in 2015，Sino-British relations have entered a “golden era” characterized by rapid and steady development. However，the year of 2018-2019 witnessed twists and turns in Sino-British relations，due to a combination of varied negative factors，mainly including the leadership change in the British government against the backdrop of Brexit，British intervention in China’s internal affairs related to Hong Kong and the South China Sea，and the third-party factors in Sino-British relations （in particular the United States）. There will remain great uncertainty for the trajectory of Sino-British relations in the coming year.
