Abstract:In general,African media coverage on China-Africa relations are generally positive, but negative reports are not uncommon, and even take on a high incidence under certain circumstances, showing that China-Africa relations are facing a more complex public opinion environment in Africa. Main reasons include influence of Western media over African media;African media's insufficient understanding of China-Africa relations;the weak international communication ability and influence of Chinese media in Africa. In addition, some problems in China-Africa relations can easily lead to negative media coverage in Africa. In order to create a positive public opinion environment for the healthy and sustainable development of China-Africa relations and the construction of the Community of Human Destiny, the media of China and Africa should strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and the Chinese media should further convey China's voice and tell the story of China in Africa. China and Africa should properly handle the problems existing in China-Africa relations together;Chinese political and academic circles should make timely and effective responses to negative reports from African media, resolutely refute erroneous statements, and guide African media to report on China-Africa relations objectively and justly. Relevant government departments should strengthen the monitoring and judgment of Chinese media in Africa to prevent trouble. In addition,China should attach importance to the role of African Chinese media in the objective and fair reporting of China-Africa relations.
