2016~2017年东帝汶民主共和国发展报告

Abstract:2016 witnessed the stability of Timor-leste in general，on going reforms by the six constitutional government，and a good momentum of development in all aspects. Politically，the government made legal framework for each ministry，promoted decentralization through successful local election of sucos（township）and started preparation for the general election in 2017. Economically，Timor-leste officially stared its process of accession to WTO and was granted observer status，meanwhile the government was trying to develop private sector and attract foreign investment. As for social development，Timor-leste contributed to improving well-being of its people under the framework of UN Sustainable Development Goals and got recognized by the public and international community. Internationally，Timor-Leste launched United Nations Compulsory Conciliation Proceedings on Maritime Boundaries with Australia，while finishing its rotating presidency of Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries （CPLP）and accelerating its accessing to ASEAN
