Abstract:This report examines four major issues concerning British society-immigration control and employment，NHS reform and its prospect，academy reform assessment and other education reform controversies，as well as prison conditions and reform prospect in England and Wales-against the background of the Brexit negotiations between Britain and the European Union. Through examinations，the report proposes the thesis that except the issue in education，it’s time for the British/Conservative government to have thorough reforms in the NHS and prison systems（funding，staffing and structuring）and give up its promise of controlling net annual immigration by a cap of 100，000. Yet，the hung parliament，which was the result of the June 2017 general election，has weakened the Conservative Party and May’s position in carrying out these reforms and left a question mark regarding future solutions.
