“全球英国”：愿景、行动与挑战

Abstract:Britain’s role in global affairs has been questioned after the Brexit referendum in June 2016. British leaders have hence put forward the idea of “Global Britain” to assure the rest of the world that Britain has not retreated into isolation. Under the banner of “Global Britain”，Theresa May’s government focuses its diplomacy on trade and security，that is，promoting free trade at bilateral and multilateral levels and playing an active role in the field of international security. Nevertheless，because of Brexit，Britain will lose the political backing of the EU，but also the benefits of the European Single Market. Overall，its national strength will be crippled and the building of a “Global Britain” is faced with enormous challenges.
