Abstract:With the construction and operation of electricity grid being its core business，State Grid Corporation of China （SGCC） is the world’s largest public business enterprise，ranking 7 among the top 500 enterprises. Into the second decade of the 21st century，SGCC quickens its steps towardsGoing to Africa，with businesses in large-scale power transmission and distribution projects and equipment exportation，local investment and factory establishment，large green investment，new energy electric generation covering Eastern Africa and Southern Africa. By the end of 2015，the contract amount of SGCC’s projects in Africa is about 3 billion US dollars. In the future，SGCC will innovate its business mode through focusing on power development，setting up economic and trade cooperation zone，and bringing along upstream and downstream firms to boost business in Africa. Meanwhile，SGCC will make full use of its advantages of the combination of industry capital and financial capital to develop Africa’s electric energy market，together with the financial industry on the base of mutual benefits of investment profits.
