Abstract:The Ukraine crisis and domestic political turmoil have not seriously affected the UK’s willingness to push forward its Indo-Pacific strategy. After coming to power，and building on the foundations laid by the Johnson government，the Sunak government clearly made the Indo-Pacific a priority in its foreign policy agenda. It also announced that it would advance the UK’s Indo-Pacific strategy as a permanent pillar of the UK’s foreign policy. Since the second half of 2022，the UK has not only continued to deepen its political，economic，trade and technological relations with Indo-Pacific players and made a series of advances，but also maintained a small regional military presence as planned，while deepening its defence and security ties through technological cooperation. In addition，against the backdrop of the crisis，the UK also intends to construct the so-called “Atlantic-Pacific Partnership” on the basis of its Indo-Pacific strategy，with AUKUS and GCAP at its core，strengthening the interaction between the two regions.
