Abstract:In 2021，the Russia-US and Russia-EU relations have continued to deteriorate and shown no sign of improvement. Thus，the post-Soviet space remains the top priority of Russia’s diplomacy. Generally，Russia relied on the three major organizations in the region，the Commonwealth of Independent States，the Eurasian Economic Union and the Collective Security Treaty Organization to strengthen its ties with countries in the post-Soviet space. In the context of the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan，Russia has paid more attention to Central Asia，and maintained close military relations and held many military exercises with Central Asian countries under the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The relations between Russia and Ukraine have been further deteriorated，even to the brink of war. The relationship between Russia and Belarus has been greatly improved，especially under the framework of the Russia-Belarus Union. The two countries have reached a number of economic agreements，and the pace of integration has made great strides. The regional influence of Russia continued to grow by mediating Armenia’s conflict with Azerbaijan and Moldova，Ukraine and Georgia are still recognized as the redline for NATO’s expansion.
