Abstract:In 2020，the political and economic development of Central Asian countries will enter a critical period，which is also the second year of the implementation of the EU’s new Central Asia strategy. The outbreak of the COVID-19 has changed international relations and has had a series of influences on the interaction between Central Asia and the European Union. The main contents of cooperation between Central Asia and EU are to carry out anti-epidemic cooperation，strengthen medical assistance and consolidate political and economic dialogue. However，under the background of the COVID-19，whether the Central Asian countries can further strengthen their cooperation with the EU，get out of the epidemic as soon as possible，and achieve economic revival and political stability depends not only on the implementation effect of the EU strategy for Central Asia，but also on the Central Asian countries themselves，and on the position of the EU in the foreign policy of Central Asian countries.
