Abstract:The year 2020 was an extraordinary year for the economic and industrial construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It was confronted with the double pressure of the unprecedented global epidemic and disruption in Hong Kong. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has withstood the pressure and continued to build in the Central Bay Area for epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic efforts. The rapid resumption of work and production has not only demonstrated the strong economic and industrial resilience，but also further enhanced its economic strength and industrial competitiveness. The status of the Greater Bay Area in the international industrial chain supply chain and the ability to allocate global resources have been further improved，and the high-quality economy has reached a new level. This report analyzes the main achievements and existing shortcomings and challenges in the economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in 2020，and proposes to actively integrate into the domestic cycle，improve the ability of scientific and technological innovation，enhance the modernization level of the industrial chain supply chain，promote the formation of a higher-level opening-up pattern and other policy recommendations.
