Abstract:The number of Moroccan immigrants in Spain has grown rapidly this century，becoming the largest group of foreigners in Spain，accounting for about 17.4 per cent of all foreign immigrants. This group of immigrants，in addition to its large population，is also the most controversial and the focus of attention of the media，politics and Spanish society. Although Moroccan immigration enriches the Spanish language，culture and religion，it also contributes to the increase in racism and xenophobia in Spain；taking effective measures to address this problem，while promoting the integration of this group into mainstream society，is one of the social problems that Spain must address.
