“特朗普主义”深化下的日美关系及日本对美政策

Abstract:In the context of the rising Trumpism in American foreign policy，the Japan-U.S. relations are under dramatic changes. On one hand，currently the foundation of Japan-U.S. alliance remains stable，with the expansion of strategic coordination，on the other hand，contradictions over values and interests between Japan and U.S. also increase in many aspects. In dealing with Trump’s foreign policy，Japan has shown stronger strategic autonomy than ever before. Japan strives to minimize the risk and ensure its own national interests by strengthening with U.S. the “link of interest”，repairing the “link of value”，utilizing the “strategic assets” of the alliance，expanding strategic space and enhancing its international role. Japan’s growing strategic autonomy in the policy toward U.S. even in its overall diplomacy will have an important impact on Japan-US relations，as well as East Asian and global international relations.
