Abstract:In contrast to Obama administration's positive stance and attitude in dealing with climate change，Trump's policy reversal on climate change has been highly controversial in the U.S and abroad. In particular，why did the Trump administration withdrew from the Paris Agreement？ Based on the personification of the state，this paper analyzes the question by using the ABC psychological theory of Rational Emotive Therapy School，and expounds on the influence of different concept systems on American climate diplomacy. The paper further analyzes several characteristics of current concept system that dominates American climate diplomacy. These characteristics also highlight the changes of American decision-making style on foreign affairs that reflect the internal and external changes of America as a whole in a long run.
