Abstract:In the middle and late Ming Dynasty，with the opening up of Maritime prohibition，the overseas Chinese with Minnanese as the main body began to flow to the Philippines in large numbers，and came and went between China and the Philippines，promoted cultural exchanges between the two countries. Divided into three periods of Spanish ruling，American ruling and post-war republic，this paper elaborates on the main contents of the cultural exchanges between China and the Philippines in each period，and analyzes the roles played by the Filipino-Chinese. Finally，on the basis of analyzing the present situation of cultural exchange and cooperation between China and the Philippines，this paper probes into the new path of China’s international exchange and cooperation under the initiative of “the Belt and Road”.
