法国介入南太平洋的动因、路径、影响及中国的应对之策

Abstract:After the end of the Cold War，France enhanced its involvement in South Pacific，and created “the France-Oceanic Summit” at the 21st Century. The causes of French involvement in South Pacific include defending the security of French overseas territory，controlling geostrategic paths，possessing huge waters and affluent resources，and showing French ambition of global leadership. France has followed a series of paths，including the advancement of military action，the implementation of economic assistance，the enhancement of cultural permeation，and the promotion of cooperation in the area of climate change issue. Nevertheless，French involvement in South Pacific has increased the complexity of regional security environment，enhanced French diplomatic dilemma in this region，and weakened China's regional influence. As to French South Pacific policy，China should continue to strengthen political mutual trust with the South Pacific islands，as well as promote their prosperous development. Meanwhile，China should expand strategic dialogue and exchange cooperation with France，in order to jointly promote the regional peace，stability and prosperity. Furthermore，China should make contributions to construct the South Pacific community of shared destiny with the regional countries.
