Abstract:In 2017，Sino-French relations continued its trend of stable development. The French presidential election and other political changes did not affect France’s perception of the importance of Sino-French relations. China’s role under the global context，especially in the global governance，together with China’s efforts to participate in and promote international cooperation provide Sino-French relations with new opportunities. China and France have intensified their exchanges in many fields in 2017. However，it cannot be overlooked that the further advancement of Sino-French relations is still facing the variables of French politics and diplomacy. It is therefore necessary to adhere to the principle of seeking common ground while reserving differences and to strengthen dialogues in order to achieve innovation and breakthroughs.
