Abstract:Both Southern University of Science and Technology and King Abdullah University of Science &Technology（KAUST）are all research-based universities that start with science and engineering in 2007 and have many similarities in their mission of establishing a university and their development goals. The specific process and the experience of running a school have also shown a lot of comparability and mutual reference. Therefore，this paper tries to reinforce the key role of world-class faculty by comprehensively positioning and planning the international strategy development of KAUST，honoring the core status of innovative personnel training，and ensuring the world-class science and technology The course of the study and the analysis of successful experience provide a solid foundation for the South University of Science and Technology to insist on the school characteristics of “small but fine”，pay attention to rigorous scholarship，a network for cooperation and a stimulating curiosity environment，and attach great importance to the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and social enhancement Service functions and other future development planning and construction path to provide reference and inspiration.
