Abstract:El Sisi Egyptian government hopes to attract Arab and foreign investments through the Sharm el-Sheikh conference in order to improve the economic situation. But before they can directly invest in infrastructures in Egypt，western countries have to straighten out the legal issues involved；in the meantime，investments from western countries are not without disputes among Egyptian political parties and within the Parliament. Currently，Egypt can only rely on energy provision to deal with its deficit. Egyptian political parties are all supportive of a close relation with China，beholding the view that China can play an active role in maintaining political stability in Egypt and the Middle Eastern countries. The government of Egypt has expressed their support for “The Belt and Road” initiatives，and believe that President Xi Jinping’s visit to Egypt is of profound political implications.
