2015年日本政治形势分析

Abstract:On the level of central politics，Japanese Diet passed the new security bill submitted by the Abe administration before its ending on September 27th. Prime Minster Abe then reelected as the president of LDP without voting and reshuffled the cabinet. On the level of local politics，the unified local election was held in April，with LDP having won over half of all the seats in local parliaments，which has been the first time since 1991. Faced with the predominance of LDP which has consecutively won the election of House of Representatives in 2012 and 2014 and the election of the Upper House of Counselors in 2013，DPJ and other opposition parties represented have decided to work together with the aim of contesting LDP in the coming election of Japanese Diet in 2016. The merging of DPJ and Japan Restoration Party are different from the founding of New Progressive Party in1994 and the merging of Democratic and Liberal parties in 2003. It is a collaboration of two weak opposition parties and does not have obvious effect.
