传播学视野下Twitter海外研究述评：研究主题与趋势展望

Abstract:As one of the largest online social media platforms in the world，Twitter has been comprehensively analyzed and studied in various disciplines such as communication，computer science，engineering，behavioral science，mathematical computational biology，psychology，etc.，since its establishment. From the perspective of communication，overseas research on Twitter focuses on social media use，social mobilization，health communication，false information and rumor propagation. From the perspective of “media use”，this paper focuses on the influence of different identities，motivations and behaviors of Twitter users on the use of Twitter platform. Identity research mainly focuses on the identity of participants of a specific topic on Twitter platform，the comparison of multi-platform user use，Twitter news production，etc. Motivation research focuses on individual emotional satisfaction，group mobilization，brand promotion，and the comparison with the use motivation of multiple social platforms. Behavioral research focuses on the negative effects of media use such as “information epidemic” and “media dependence disorder”. In the future，crisis communication，political communication，intelligent communication （social robots，etc.），health communication，marketing communication，etc.，will remain the focus and trend of overseas Twitter research.
