Abstract:Since the beginning of the 21 century，with the development of second language acquisition research and the deepening of curriculum reforms，the field of language teaching research has gradually transitioned from focusing on teachers’ explicit teaching behaviors to exploring teachers’ internal concepts，beliefs，values，emotions and attitudes. Research on the beliefs of second language teachers has gradually become a new field. This article systematically sorts out the research results of second language teachers’ beliefs since the new century，and reviews the development trend，research object，research method，and research theme to form a scientific understanding of the research results in this field. And on this basis，we look forward to the future development direction of the field of second language teachers’ beliefs research.
