Abstract:From January to August 2021，Henan’s total import and export value reached a new high value，the growth rate was much higher than the national average，meanwhile the downward trend of total import value continued，the total import and export value of private enterprises surpassed foreign-invested enterprises for the first time，and the main force position became more prominent. The United States was still the largest trading partner，the trade contribution rate of South Korea was significantly improved，and the export commodity structure still needed to be optimized，Imported goods are reflected in the developed intra-industry trade，the import and export proportion of processing trade is too high，the trade mode needs to be further optimized，the pace of innovation and development of foreign trade is accelerated，and the high-level open platform is booming. Looking forward to the year of 2022，although the external economic environment is tightening，under the strategy of implementing the institutional opening strategy and building a new highland of institutional opening in the new era，Henan’s foreign trade development will enter a steady channel in 2022. The key to promoting foreign trade to a new level is to lead institutional opening with the construction of pilot Free Trade Zone，continue to build a new platform for high-level opening to the outside world，continue to promote precise investment attraction in the industrial chain，closely follow up service key enterprises and accelerate the development of e-commerce.
