2020年巴以问题进程与前景展望

Abstract:In 2020，the stalemate over the Palestinian-Israeli issue remains unbroken. Israel continues to expand its settlements in the Palestinian territories and even proposes plans to annex part of the occupied Palestinian territories. Meanwhile，the Middle East regional landscape has changed，with several Arab countries establishing diplomatic relations with Israel. The advances in normalizing Arab-Israeli relations have deprived the Palestinian-Israeli issue of the core issue status in the region. In addition，the response to the COVID-19 crisis has become the focus of the international community’s attention. The above factors have gradually marginalized the Palestinian issue，bringing the Palestinian-Israeli peace process to stagnation. This paper，after briefly outlining the major events in the development process of the Palestinian-Israeli issue during 2020，analyzes the main factors affecting and hindering the Palestinian-Israeli peace process，and then provides an outlook on the development prospects of the Palestinian-Israeli issue in 2021.
