Abstract:With the rapid advancement of industrialization，mankind has accumulated a great deal of material wealth in a short time，but with it，the population has expanded rapidly，natural resources have been consumed rapidly，and the environment has been destroyed. Entering the 21st century，a new era task is to replace runaway economic growth with sustainable development mode，in order to achieve a new situation in which economic growth and environmental protection are synchronized，short-term interests are combined with long-term development goals，and man and nature coexist harmoniously. Zhuhai is the earliest special economic zone of China’s reform and opening up，and it is also a young and happy modern garden-like seaside city. Through the analysis of Zhuhai sample of sustainable development，it shows the exploration，efforts and achievements of a city on the road of building a healthy city，ecological civilization and green development while retaining the economic growth rate.
