Abstract:Saudi Aramco is the largest enterprise in Saudi Arabia and a company with a great world-wide influence. It has embarked on a corporate transformation since 2015. Judging from the macroeconomic，political circumstances and the disclosed corporate financial and strategic information，the core of the transformation is to promote the localization of the upstream industries of oil production and extend the value chain in the downstream，by which the company aims to enhance its adaptability to changes in the energy industry and contribute to the economic diversification of the kingdom. From the perspective of the region and the country，Saudi Aramco’s corporate transformation will have a profound impact on Saudi’s economy and is expected to provide a followable paradigm for the modernization of its economy.
