Abstract:In recent years，the acceleration of Uzbekistan’s economic development，the improvement of its international competitiveness，and its gradual integration into the world economy largely depend on the development of the digital economy. This article introduces the development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy from three aspects：ICT services，telecommunications infrastructure，and e-commerce，and analyzes Uzbekistan’s performance in multiple international ratings for assessing the development of information technology. Then the article reviewes the evolution of Uzbekistan’s national policy on the digital economy，focusing on measures to develop digital technology and e-government. Finally，through the “Digital Uzbekistan-2030” strategy，the prospects for the development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy are illustrated.
