2010～2011年拉美政治形势：民主机制加强

Abstract:In 2010，the political situation in Latin American and the Caribbean （LAC） had the following characteristics：First，the region was stable although there were partial tensions and unrest in some countries；second，the leftist governments in Latin America remained to enjoy certain advantages although the opposition parties were gathering strength fast；third，traditionally vulnerable groups continue to deepen their political participation；fourth，the rightist coalition in Chile gained the power after the twenty years of rule by the leftist parties，which is an example demonstrating that the rule by leftist and rightist parties in rotation remains to work and also showing that democratic institutions in the region are further consolidated.
