Abstract:In 2019，the minority coalition government led by Marjan Šarec delivered a satisfactory answer for the people. Although many political conflicts and issues remained unresolved，the government did its best to improve people’s life. At the same time，the pressing call for political reforms exposed the weaknesses of the Šarec’s government and the tension between the coalition parties. Slovenia’s macro-economy run well in 2019，with slower growth，higher average wages，and gradual growth in inflation. The Adriatic Airlines declared bankruptcy due to poor management. In 2019，Slovenia continued to promote relations with non-EU countries. In society and culture，the University of Ljubljana，the most elite higher education institution，celebrated its centenary. China and Slovenia arranged constant mutual visits of high-level officials and economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between them became more frequent.
