Abstract:Myanmar is a multi-ethnic，multicultural country with a long history，and it is also rich in intangible cultural heritage. In recent years，The government of Myanmar has strengthened the protection of intangible cultural heritage and carried out various forms of protection work，and forces from all walks of life in Myanmar have also actively participated in it. For instance，Thanakha is one of the most distinctive intangible cultural heritage in Myanmar. The inheritance and protection of it are the epitome of the protection of Myanmar’s intangible cultural heritage. However，the protection of Myanmar’s intangible cultural heritage is still in its infancy，and there is a long way to go. In the future，Myanmar will deepen understanding among various ethnic groups and promote the development of tourism and the improvement of people’s livelihood by protecting intangible cultural heritage.
