Abstract:Coal-based gaseous energy industry is based on coal resources，which supply a wide range of products，technology and service in the form of gaseous state by comprehensively developing，processing and transforming. In terms of products form，it mainly includes coal bed methane（CBM），coal gasification（coke-oven gas，coal gas，underground gasification），and kinds of subsequent chemical products made from them. Under special circumstances of energy development in China，Shanxi Coal holds a special place in developing pattern of national energy development. Therefore，it is a profound significance to foster and develop coal-based gaseous energy industry，and to build Shanxi into an important national demonstration base of coal-based gaseous energy industry.
