Abstract:On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France，the 2019 humanistic exchange between China and France，while maintaining the existing dialogue and cooperation，continues to promote innovative and practical cooperation between the two countries in many areas. Under the framework of the China-France High-level Mechanism for Dialogue on People-to-People Exchanges，there has been a series of exciting events in bilateral exchange，all of which have had fruitful results. These include cultural exchange，the development of Confucius Institute，as well as university cooperation and local cooperation. The leaders of the two countries have further clarified the development direction of humanistic cooperation. Bilateral exchanges in various fields and at various levels have brought China-France humanistic exchange to a higher level. However，it cannot be neglected that the discourse environment is a major obstacle to the cultural exchanges between China and France，because some French media and think tanks have projected such a distorded image of China that the progress of developing mutual trust has been hampered. In order to further in-depth and wide-ranging humanistic exchanges，and China-France comprehensive partnership，this article surveys important results in 2019 China-France humanistic exchange and discusses the issues encountered in the development process of discourse environment with suggestions for future development of humanistic exchange.
