Abstract:Chad is one of the least developed countries in the world. Its economic structure is agriculture first，service industry second and industry third. Economic development is mainly the oil economy，fiscal revenue and expenditure depends on international aid，and foreign trade depends on neighboring countries，which are the three major characteristics of the Chadian economic situation. Chad’s future economic development is reflected in both external and internal dimensions，strengthening external cooperation with China，especially cooperation in infrastructure and agriculture under the current “Belt and Road” initiative. China’s aid and labor contracts to Chad are the highlights of bilateral cooperation. Internally，Chad should promote the development of tourism，promote economic diversification，get rid of over-dependence on the oil economy，and strengthen the attraction of foreign investment and improve the business environment.
