缅甸文化遗产保护研究报告——蒲甘的世界遗产之路

Abstract:Bagan is the heart of Myanmar culture and a cultural heritage that Myanmar is proud of. In consideration of the important historical and cultural value，the successive governments of Myanmar have attached great importance to the protection，restoration and research of Bagan，even actively promoted Bagan to be included in the World Heritage List. In 1997，Bagan was failed at the first application for inclusion in the World Heritage List for lack of scientific and orderly protection and related laws and regulations. Since then，the Myanmar government has learned lessons and adopted various measures to protect Bagan and has restarted the application process in 2014. On July 6，2019，the 43rd World Heritage Committee meeting reviewed and approved the Bagan Cultural Heritage Project，Bagan was officially listed on the World Heritage List. It is foreseeable that Bagan’s successful inclusion in the World Heritage List will bring many benefits to Myanmar，but the protection of Bagan’s cultural heritage still remains a long way off.
