Abstract:2018 is the harvest year for Malaysia’s intangible cultural heritage protection work. The art of Malay love song singing Dongdang Sayang was inscribed by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity，while 207 traditional cultural practices were included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage. The domestic intangible cultural heritage protection work was carried out in an orderly manner under the leadership of the Department of National Heritage. Starting with the status of Malaysia’s world-class intangible cultural heritage，state-level intangible cultural heritage and the development of intangible conservation activities in 2018，this article is aimed to give a brief introduction of the development of Malaysia’s intangible cultural heritage in 2018.
