Abstract:In 2018，the Indonesian government made enormous efforts on cultural development. A wide social involvement resulted in inheritance and development initiatives of Indonesian culture. For example，cultural strategy development reports have been submitted by scholars or individuals involved in cultural industry to the Indonesian government. Indonesian Language Conferences formulated and developed plans and guidelines for domestic and international learners of Indonesian language. The Indonesian government has also initiated various programs for cultural development，including acknowledged seven pioneers of people’s rights to education as role models，increased the budget for education and culture，raised the requirements of teachers’ accreditation，hosted the 18th Asian Games successfully，applied for new listing by the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage，accepted international students to learn Indonesian language and culture through the Darmasiswa Scholarship Program and so on.
