Abstract:The development of the BRICS countries is inseparable from the intellectual support of think tanks. Think tanks are contributors to the BRICS cooperation mechanism. With the deepening of BRICS cooperation，Think tanks have new opportunities and development needs. This report reviews the historical context of BRICS cooperation mechanism，focuses on the status of BRICS Think tanks cooperation and the development of Think tanks. It puts forward four suggestions for think tank cooperation and think tank development，which are expanding the think tank dialogue cooperation platform with “BRIC + ” mode，optimizing results and deepening the sharing of think tank results，setting up valid information channels and participating in public decision-making in all aspects，enhancing collaborative innovation and improving the ability of social think tanks to co-govern.
