Abstract:The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation serves as an important platform for the implementation of The Belt and Road Initiative.Such cooperation should help strengthen the soft power of the countries in the region.The China Road as typified by the construction of special economic zones is a successful model which may be helpful to the other countries in their drive for modernization.Shenzhen has initiated an exchange program with a view to sharing its economic success as China's first special economic zone.The paper provides a case study of the program with an analysis of its principles in course design and its actual implementation.Then it discusses issues of recontextualization with reference further development of such programs.
