土耳其军政关系与1974年塞浦路斯战争

Abstract:In the history of Turkey，the military has played an important role in political development，economic affairs，and security issues. However，the existing researches has not paid enough attention to the role of the military in security matters，especially in war. This paper analyzes the activity of the Turkish military in the 1974 Cyprus War，and explores the impacts of civil-military relations on war decision-making，the war process and the end of war. Compared with the civilian government，the Turkish military has a dominant position in the war，but the military and the civilian government maintain a effective strategic communication and coordination，which led to Turkey's victory in the war. This research can not only deepen understanding of civil-military relations of Turkey，but also widen the knowledge of the relationship between civil-military relations and war.
