Abstract:At the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China，President Xi Jinping proposed socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and fundamental strategy，and clearly stated to build a prosperous，civilized，harmonious，and beautiful country. Guangzhou，as the capital city of Guangdong province and an important National Center City，takes great responsibility in the development of Guangdong Province and the whole country. Guangzhou should contribute to the socialist modernization，and continue to reform，innovate and open up. Guangzhou should work tirelessly to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. This article benchmarked the global cities，and took the experience of those global cities as a reference to study how Guangzhou can build itself into a leading global city.
