Abstract:Financial cooperation is the key of economic cooperation. With the deepening of economic cooperation between Guangdong，Hong Kong and Macau since the reform and opening up，and with the gradual improvement of the mainland’s financial market and financial services，financial cooperation between the three territories has witnessed significant development. Today，the synergic economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area requires overall planning and financial resource coordination. The financial cooperation between the three territories thus begins to transform from simple service cooperation to “integration” based on free movement of financial resources. The major obstacle to integration is the difference in financial regime of the territories. Promoting coordination between these regimes has become one of the principal directions of development in the financial cooperation process.
