Abstract:Guangzhou， as the frontier of China's reform and opening up， has active innovation practices experiences in the system and operation of gender equality public policies， and it has a relatively mature model. Under the influence of existing public policies， institutional frameworks， policy implementation practices， and traditional gender concepts， Guangzhou also has several limitations in the formulation of public policies. Its gender awareness has not yet become a consensus of the public policy department. Moreover， the limitations of the Women's Federation's gender equality work， and gender consultation and assessment mechanisms need to be further implemented. It is recommended to continue to promote the revision and formulation of public policies on gender equality， promote the establishment of national gender equality promotion agencies， give full play to the role of advisory and evaluation agencies， and focus on gender training for party and government workers to improve the operating model of public policies in Guangzhou.
