Abstract:The Sino-Russian “Yangtze-Volga”cooperation mechanism is a new model of cooperation in non-adjacent regions between China and Russia. This is in line with the current international trend and the strategic interests of China and Russia. Nowadays，the Sino-Russian “Yangtze-Volga” cooperation mechanism has entered a pragmatic stage of development and faced some challenges，such as the incorporation of the “Yangtze-Volga” mechanism into the the Belt and Road Initiative. How can this mechanism converge with the strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and China western development strategy？ How to achieve effective coordination with Russia's national development strategy and the construction of the Eurasian Economic Union？ The Sino-Russian “Yangtze-Volga” cooperation mechanism will become an effective model for Sino-Russian regional cooperation，and will improve the pragmatic development of regional cooperation between China and Russia.
