澳门滨海城市空间规划与旅游发展的问题及策略

Abstract:The history of Macau creates the city’s uniqueness in politics，culture and economy. It is necessary and worth to explore the strategies that take full advantages of the unique characteristics in future urban development scientifically and appropriately. Currently，Macau’s development is facing new opportunities and challenges. Urban planning acts as an effective platform constituting and practicing city’s development strategies，among which the planning and management of the water-front urban space is a significant component. This chapter analyzes the current macro policies and situations in Macau，summarizes the developing problems embedded in the water-front areas through contemporary urban planning theories and proposes planning and management concepts including the combination of overall guiding and specific researching，the enhancement of urban characteristics and the way of environmental-friend to renew urban facilities and traffic networks gradually，integrate urban public space and revitalize the water-front area. The chapter aims to provide suggestions to achieve the scientific and sustainable development in Macau.
