Abstract:Located in the northwestern Europe， Britain is a typical island nation. Its superior geographical position has promoted the development of British marine industry. Based on the relevant data， this paper analyzes the status quo of the development of the marine economy in the United Kingdom and the development of the leading industries. Combined with its actual conditions， this article looks forward to the development of its marine economy.This paper argues that the British government should give full play to the advantage of marine manufacturing and innovation ability， increase investment in marine industry and meet the needs of the British government and the industrial sector
